John Denver is a popular musician and singer who has been able to touch many with his songs. Most of his songs are based on Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell, New Mexico. He fell in love Colorado and eventually settled in Aspen. Denver's state anthems inspired people to travel to Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame declares it is true that John Denver is unlike any other performer who has the recognizable image of Colorado. Denver was inducted into the Hall of Fame as its the first member in 2011. For many, Denver is the Colorado image. On my journeys around the world, I have met many individuals who do not hail from Colorado. People will say, "Oh John Denver!" whenever they learn that you're from Colorado. Brown said. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short period of performing with small folk-based groups included Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the tune in the name of Johnny Cash but Denver recognized the potential of the single the moment he heard it for the first time. Danoff recorded the song a couple of days after performing at Washington D.C. before an audience that was very enthusiastic.
